Spring 2017 Trends with Neiman Marcus

As promised, here are the Spring 2017 Trend Report from Neiman Marcus interpreted by NM Fashion Valley’s own Style Advisor, Alex Yáñez!

Ruffles & Flounces
We have seen this fun and flirty trend on and off the runway, but this season they are taken up a notch as can be seen in these ideas.

Slips & Slides

Slip into comfy and stylish slip-on sandals.

Shirting Redefined 
According to Neiman Marcus, shirting for Spring has “The menswear standard- reworked for her” Love the way this otherwise button up top is redefined and brought down to the shoulder – totally new! I saw Aimee Song wear it this way shortly after I saw this report so this is definitely a trend to look out for (and maybe partake in!)

Head Turning Earrings

Big statement earrings were a common theme all throughout the presentation, from colorful ones to textured ones, it will definitely turn some heads.

Stripes
I mean, I haven’t been able to stay away from stripes, but I love that Alex showed us this stripes on stripes combo! Now that my friends is taking our love for lines to a whole new level.

Neutrals
Although when I think of neutrals, I typically think whites and creams, Neiman Marcus is bringing our attention to the standout neutral of the season, olive green.

The Mini Bag

Mini bags are a thing, and Alex just showed how you can layer a mini bag over another bag for an even cooler look!

Everything Embellished
And by everything they mean everything. Look at these pants with patches all over paired with an embellished jacket and then the embellished shoes! The more embellishment the better!

All this fashion while we ate this beautiful lunch and the dessert was not only the clothes rack they brought out but the cake, O-M-G!
