Pastel Summer

I know that pastels are usually reserved for Summer, but I was feeling extra pastel inspired this weekend when I received a gorgeous (and delicious) box of macarons all the way from Macaron Cafe in New York City! Macaron Cafe ships nationwide so if you're craving these goodies you can place an order and get them delivered to your doorstep like I did!

If you are that brave soul following me on Snapchat (under username 'lilbitsofpau'- yes shameless plug) then you know I was working on my closet-room this weekend. Well, I found this and other pieces of clothes stashed in my closet and I had forgotten to share it! Arg! It only motivated me more to keep cleaning, purging and organizing, although sometimes it feels like a never ending battle!

Beauty Bit: M·A·C Wash & Dry Collection

It's officially Summer which not only means Summer clothes and swimwear, but also Summer make up! To update my Summer beauty look, I made my way over to M·A·C Fashion Valley to cehck out the M·A·C Wash & Dry collection, which was paired with a presentation that was out of this world!

The presentation: M·A·C always pulls out all of the stops in their presentations and this one was no different! With a laundromat setting that made me feel like a character in "Honey I shrunk the kids" mixed with theatrics that reminded me of both  "Cirque de soleil" and  "Magic Mike", the presentation had me googly eyed *insert eye emoji here*

Summer Wedding Guest

Wedding season is in full swing and I had the pleasure of attending my fiance's best friend's wedding over the weekend! Our friends Randy and Monika's beautiful wedding was held in the Mt. Woodson Castle on a mountain near San Diego - very romantic!

As I mentioned in my last post, the heat has been dominating over here, so I wanted to wear something both classy and comfortable in the heat. I decided to wear this dress which kind of made me feel like a senorita! I believe the next wedding I will be attending is my own which is kind of scary and exciting at the same time! Reminds me of the classic line by Jesse on Saved by the Bell: "I'm so excited, I'm so.... scared!"

First of all, happy Friday! Summer has officially kicked in and the "June Gloom" clouds over San Diego have finally lifted! *woo hoo* After getting over the first of many bridal events (the bridal shower), I just wanted to be in something totally relaxing and airy. This dress from SheInside did just that for me, especially with the cute details that make it different from your typical little white dress. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!! Flattering Stripes

I have had my fair share of styling striped pieces, but I still find myself buying more striped items! Then again, there are just so many variations with my favorite being the mix of both horizontal and vertical in such a way that is flattering.

As I was checking out the Milly for Designation line at Kohls, I fell in love with this Summer dress and had visions of brunch, bridal showers, baby showers, etc. When I tried it on, I was convinced! The material was comfortable, stretchy and the stripes passed the flattering test! My biggest recommendation when buying striped pieces is to try it on to make sure the stripes are flattering to your body type.

I have been admiring colorful tassels on some of my favorite bloggers but hadn't pulled the trigger on joining the trend until I saw this tassel top from Shabby Apple's Marrakesch collection. It's such an adorable top that is not over the top (no pun intended), and also has the funnest colored tassels that go all around the neckline. Obviously my favorite tassel being the neon yellow one that I decided to match my shoes to.

Shabby Apple also carries the matching skirt that my inner matchy set lover is lusting over especially having now experienced the comfortable and flaterring material of this top!
