Gift Guide and CARE giving with H&M

It may not be past Thanksgiving yet, but there is no denying that the holiday season is upon us and gift-givers everywhere are starting to prepare. Today I bring you an affordable gift guide for EVERYONE in your family from H&M ( kids, men, ladies, even home decor), but wait... what if I told you, you can shop AND contribute to a good cause?

This year, the H&M Conscious Foundation will support the organization CARE—a humanitarian organization fighting global poverty by working alongside women and girls to help them develop business opportunities to generate income, gain power and enhance self-esteem.

This season you can shop while contributing to this great cause as H&M has created CARE gift labels, which will be sold in stores across the world.  For every set of CARE labels sold, the H&M Conscious Foundation will donate double the sales price to the CARE organization.

Chic "Will you be my Bridesmaid?" Cards

One of the funnest parts for me in the beginning stages of wedding planning was asking the best ladies of my life to be a part of our wedding party. I took to Pinterest and wedding blogs looking for cute ideas, and I decided it would be best if I purchased individually customizable cards since I have a Matron of Honor, a Maid of Honor and bridesmaids.

It took me a week to decide where to customize the cards, I almost placed an order with Etsy, but then I discovered Paperless Post and loved that I could design the card myself. I was able to design the card from one of their bridesmaid party templates, but with the ability to customize the font (color, size, type), deciding on the type of paper I wanted and being able to purchase the cards individually (vs. minimum 10 of each). After playing around with the fonts, I composed a little fun poem to pose the question and here is the end result:

During my bridesmaid card research, I also founds some adorable ones that almost made the cut! Here are the runner ups:

Next up, planning a Bridesmaids Brunch where I will share the colors, my vision and get my girls together... of course I will share pictures of that!

Reworking my Closet: White Button Up

Happy Fri-yay Friends! Before I get to the fashion let me just share that it's been an insane month culminating this week with the close of escrow on our new house being today! Any of you who are homeowners I'm sure understand when I say- WHOA, that was intense! From offers, to approvals, to inspections, to walk through's- it's a month of being on pins and needles, but now we are so happy and ready to start a new chapter in our lives! Our new home will need a lot of TLC and I'm excited to share some home decor posts with y'all especially as I decorate my new home office!

Back to the fashion, now more than ever, in an effort to save money, reworking my closet is essential! I also never knew how essential a white button up was until I wore this one from Tommy Hilfiger which is of great quality and very soft (vs. other white button ups that tend to be stiff). Here are 3 ways to style a button up:

Neutrogena Norwegian Formula

Please note that this is in collaboration with Neutrogena and Latina Bloggers Connect, this post was created and written by me for lilbitsofchic.com and express my personal views and opinions.

As Winter nears, so does its cold elements (brrrr) and whether you are indoors or outdoors your skin gets affected. For me, my hands always take the brunt with signs of chapping and cracking due to the winds, heater, cleaning, running, etc.

Beauty Bit: Youth Code by L'Oréal Paris {GIVEAWAY}

Please note that this is in collaboration with L'Oréal Paris and Latina Bloggers Connect, this post was written by me for lilbitsofchic.com and expresses my personal views and opinions.

In today's "Beauty Bit" installment, I get to merge two of my favorite topics, beauty and women empowerment thanks to L'Oréal Paris #PorqueTuLoVales campaign.

Youth Code Texture Perfector, Youth Code Texture Perfector Pore Vanisher, Youth Code Texture Perfector Serum, Youth Code Texture Perfector Serum

My beauty journey started at a very young age and was heavily influenced by my Latina roots. My skin has always been of an olive tone and for the most part was very cooperative with my many make-up experiments over the years, however as I got older I realized that it started becoming less forgiving.

I notice that my skin goes through phases, from dry to oily, new freckles, dark spots, texture changes and imperfections all of which as a proud Latina woman I have always embraced, but after educating myself about products that help me in rewinding the skin clock I have quickly adopted them into my regimen with the benefit that this will enhance my Mexican skin attributes.

To tackle my oily skin situation, especially as I sit in an office for over 8 hours without many opportunities to wash my face or tame the oil,  I use the L'Oréal's Youth Code Texture Perfector Regimen which will also minimize the look of pores and improves skin texture.

Step 1: After washing my face, I treat my skin with the Texture Perfector Serum Concentrate which starts tightening my pores and works on my fine lines. You know those worry lines that as women we develop as we try to be Superwomen? Yes, those!

Today they have come out to play not only to celebrate Fall, but for a collaboration with 3 other gorgeous fashion bloggers who are also showing you how you can bring your boots out to play (see their fab looks below).

Over the Knee Boots, aside from keeping your legs warm can really sexify an outfit. Every time I put these on, they inspire me to strut!

Plaid and Jeans

Lately I have been so drawn to red plaid, a pattern that I usually reserve for the Christmas season, but when styled with jeans and black booties like I did below, it may look like a casual outfit with edge.

I recently picked up this piece while perusing my local Forever 21, which made me realize that the best part about shopping in-store is that you are not influenced by the styling that you see online, which is why when I picked up this "dress" I totally thought it was a top and wore it as such!

Good bye October, Hello November!

As we approach the second to last month of the year, I can't help but start to analyze my year so far. It's been a year full of highs (engagement and potential home purchase) and a few lows (losing loved ones), but it's been the best year for my blog so far.

There is so much that I still want to do and achieve but one thing is for certain, my style has continued to evolve and expand. Case and point, this outfit recap- coats, dresses, prints, colors- one word to describe it, variety.
