Happy Thanksgiving!

I have been on a little bit of a vacation and will resume outfits shortly, but I just wanted to thank each and everyone of you that have read, commented, liked, followed, and supported my blog. It truly means the world to me and not only am I grateful today, but every day that what was just a hobby has become a passion that other people enjoy! May your Thanksgiving be full of great company, yummy food, love and friendship! From my home to yours...

San Diego Style Bloggers GLAM Meet-Up!

TGIF! Last Friday, us San Diego Style Bloggers hosted a Glam Meet Up at Emma Jane a chic and charming boutique in La Jolla. You don't have to tell us fashion bloggers glam twice, all the girls were dressed so chic!

As I walked in, it felt like I was entering someone's walk-in closet surrounded by beautiful clothes, accompanied with a trunk show by Love Tatum and delicious Beaming skinny cocktails.

Women Rise Above It

Please note that this is in collaboration with Latina Bloggers Connect and the makers of Pine-Sol® Products, this post was created and written by me for lilbitsofchic.com and express my personal views and opinions.

The makers of Pine-Sol® Products have teamed up with Latina actress Rosie Perez to launch the 'When Life Gets Tough, Women Rise Above It' Campaign celebrating women who rose above their struggles. This subject got me to think about my biggest struggles in a low income community and how I rose above many obstacles to be the first one in my family to get a Bachelor’s degree.

Trench on Black

Happy Wednesday! As you can see, I simply cannot stop wearing this two tone trench from Lulu's.com. It's one of those jackets I tend to grab as I run out the door! That's exactly what happened on this gloomy day when the boy and I went to catch a movie and I realized I was wearing all black. I tossed on the trench and these aviators which made me feel kind of sleek. Also, a lot of the elements to this outfit are comfortable- the coated pants, a cotton tunic underneath, and the booties that have no heel which proves that you don't have to compromise comfort for style.

Fall Boho

Over the knee boots are making quite the comeback and I love comebacks because it usually means I already have the item in my closet, case and point- these boots. I had forgotten how awesome they were and when paired with this tunic (previously seen here) that carries all of the main colors of Fall and a floppy hat I thought to myself- "I can't get more Fall-looking than this!" When my boyfriend saw me he's like "so, is this your boho look?" (sarcastically, of course)- gotta love boyfriends, I just taught him what boho meant so now he likes to identify it every time I dress bohemian-ish.

Drinks & Fall Fashion with Lulus.com

While I was in New York for LuckyFabb, Lulus.com invited an intimate group of bloggers to preview their Fall clothing at the very trendy and gorgeous STK in Midtown. I had such a great time getting to know the wonderful ladies of Lulus.com and fellow bloggers while sippin' on some wine and trying on the gorgeous clothes. As you can see in the pictures below, I couldn't decide what I items I wanted, but in the end the trench you saw in this post was the lucky winner! Definitely going back to the Lulus.com site to get some of the other items I had my eyes on!

Since I had come from the conference, I stopped by my hotel room and did a super quick change- tossed on this very Fall patterned tunic, put my hair down and changed my lipstick. If you ever need to do a super quick make-up change, changing the lipstick color does the trick!

Moto'n to Ladurée

And so, my New York posts continue… and what better way to taste a tiny bit of Paris in NYC then to have some macaroons from Ladurée? The location of Ladurée New York is right on Madison Ave (down the street from Céline), so as I took a bite into a macaroon, I stared in awe at some Céline purses on the window à la Holly Golighty in Breakfast at Tiffany's.

A turtleneck, jeans and flat booties were essential to walk around in NYC and this moto jacket from Wallis was such a great touch not only because it isn't black like all the other moto jackets, but it was very comfortable. I added a cute necklace from Bold & Stylish to give the outfit a small touch of color and headed off to walk some more.

Trench'd in NYC

One of my mottos is that comfort doesn't have to cost you chicness and today I'm showing you what I wore to be comfortably-chic walking around NYC on my tourist adventures. On this day we visited the 9/11 Memorial, took a ferry to the Statue of Liberty, walked around Soho, took the subway and did some more sightseeing. To take in all of the sights I layered on this gorgeous two-tone trench from Lulus.com, over a turtle neck and paired it with a printed jean under my over the knee flat boots.

Lucky Fabb Day 2: Outfit + Highlights

One of the biggest highlights for me on Day 2 of LuckyFabb was that it was held at the Condé Nast building, home of Lucky Magazine and the most influential magazines including Vogue. I got chills going up the elevator because the buttons said where the magazines were (think of all the creativity and amazingness that are packed at each floor)!

After attending very informative sessions I was whisked away to a lunch hosted by Barbie. The little girl in me was ecstatic as I walked in the room and there were Barbies everywhere!! Special edition Barbies at every table, a Barbie Wall and then Michelle Chidoni, Barbie's Chief of Staff, reminded us why Barbie is a style icon by walking us through her style history.

LuckyFABB Day 1 Highlights

I am so excited share with you the highlights of the Lucky Magazine Fashion and Beauty Blogger Conference (a.k.a. LuckyFABB) that I attended exactly one week ago in New York City.
