Queenstown Public House

Let’s talk about a great combination: Fashion and food! When Queenstown Public House asked me to come by and experience their chic decor and cuisine, I happily obliged. Queenstown is not your average Little Italy Restaurant, for one it doesn’t serve Italian food, and secondly it looks like a charming house from the outside!

Walking inside you uncover a contemporary, yet whimsical, yet homely decorated bar, all signatures of its designer Michael Soriano who is also known for decorating Syrah and The Pearl Hotel. My boyfriend and I sat in the dining room with quirky lambs on the ceiling, and a quote on the wall that read “there’s no place like home.”

The drink choices are practically endless (hello wine on tap!), but I took the waitress’s recommendation and had the peach basil sangria which was delicious! The beer menu caught my boyfriend’s eye and he liked that each beer had a one sentence description of the taste, which he said he had never seen before.

Let’s talk about the food! Queenstown is brought to us by the same owners as Bareback Grill and Ragland Public House both are influenced by New Zealand cuisine. I had a Queenstown favorite hamburger and my boyfriend had the fish and chips (pictured below), both were delicious and accompanied with an array of sauces to satisfy the palette.

They also have a great patio lined with lime green chairs, some chairs outside and cool photo ops! I could only imagine how poppin’ this place gets at nighttime! It would definitely feel like a house party!  It feels like a hidden gem in Little Italy that is getting uncovered and I’m so happy I got to see it!
