Tommy Hilfiger Fashion Valley Opening

With my hectic schedule nowadays, I have had to scale back on attending events, but when I heard Tommy Hilfiger was hosting a private soiree at their new Fashion Valley location with such guests as their North America CEO Gary Sheinbaum, Fashion Director of In Style Cindy Weber-Cleary and Revenge Actor John Bowman, I could not miss it!

Inside the store, fashionable people were rocking their best Tommy looks or the iconic colors of the brand, men in their Tommy gingham shirts were greeting guests with trays of champagne, a photo booth snapped pics of guests and a DJ played some cool tunes- all components of a fabulous party! They pulled all the stops not only to celebrate the opening of the store but also in support of Autism Society of San Diego’s annual Surf Camp program.

Beach Blue Hues

Summer time in San Diego is the equivalent of beach time! *queu the music* "Summa Summa Summa Tiiime..." From Imperial Beach to La Jolla, each beach has its own atmosphere. Over the weekend, the boyfriend and I took a stroll in Pacific Beach which is notorious for its party scene. After brunching beachside at World Famous, and sippin on their "World Famous Tropical Mai Tai", we walked over to the pier where we had a bird's eye view of the surfers trying to catch some waves.

I have a feeling you will be seeing the components of this outfit a lot this Summer. After practically living in my chambray button up for the last few seasons, I sought out a sleeveless one for Summer to complement all of my shorts and skirts. I paired it up with this printed skirt and my ShoeDazzle wedges that my boyfriend kept making fun of because everyone else was in their sandals and flip flops, but in my defense, they are so comfortable! Needless to say, I can't wait to show him and you my more casual beach looks, but for now hope you like this one!

Pre-4th of July

We are about 2 weeks away from the funnest Summer Holiday- 4th of July! Oh the fireworks, the patriotism, the beach (or pool), the BBQ's and for us fashionistas- the red, white and blue outfits!

As a precursor, I got these patriotic flats from Shoedazzle, but I couldn't wait until the 4th to wear them! They ended up complementing the third item I picked out for the Wallis' SUMMER STYLE Blogger Contest, this bright red blazer. I kept the rest of the ensemble simple with jeans and a white top to go watch "Man of Steel" with the bf- have any of you seen that movie yet? If you have, isn't Superman HOT?! hee hee...
Loving my Fashion Loopy Arm Set! I will be giving away an identical set next week, so stay tuned!! You can also choose from a variety of arm sets and accessories here!

Linear Black and White

Today I bring you the second look that I styled for the Wallis' SUMMER STYLE Blogger Contest- which is now open for voting! I would be so grateful if you took a moment to vote for my look here!

Last week I showed you how I styled their black and white tribal dress by adding pops of neon. When it came to picking out a second item, I decided to pick another black and white dress because I could be more creative with the styling- plus this dress looked comfortable which I am happy to report, it is!

For styling, I decided to stick with white accessories, lucite jewelry and a bold red lip as my pop of color for a nice day out.

The Little White Dress *Collab with NYTrendyMoms and DaintyJea*

With Summer around the corner, the Little White Dress has become the new Little Black Dress. Much like the LBD, the LWD is versatile- you can dress it up or down, layer over it and accessorize it to your liking and style. To show you its versatility, I was excited to collaborate with two fashionable bloggers NYTrendyMoms and DaintyJea to bring you 3 different ways to style your little white dress!
I describe my take on the little white dress as daytime fun in the sun. This little white dress is the classic eyelet fit and flare, amped with some color via the hot pink statement necklace and floral platforms for a playful summer vibe.

Johnnybell from NY Trendy Moms layered a chambray and a gold necklace for a polished casual look- superb!

Jealeyni from DaintyJea accessoried her little white dress with gorgeous necklaces and a headpiece for a boho feel- stunning!

Make sure to check out more pictures of their looks on their blogs!

Comfy Girly in Oxfords

Chambray top, oxford shoes and floral denim- a feminine, better yet, comfortable combination! These oxford shoes from Not Rated are adorable, I had to keep that vibe going with my floral denim jeans (rolled up of course). I hadn't worn these jeans in about a year because (insert the Usher lyric "these are my confessions" here) I simply didn't fit into them. I have been focusing on eating better and making time for the gym, but not in an extreme way because that's how I always get into trouble. Fitting in to the jeans is a mini accomplishment in my continuous journey to be healthier (the journey never ends huh?). Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!

Tribal Dress and Neon

Today I bring you an exciting look that I styled for the Wallis' SUMMER STYLIST Contest!

What I love about Wallis is that it specializes in making women look and feel their best with their extraordinary pieces, great quality and array of sizes (US sizes run from 4-16). This can be reflected in the dress I chose since I tend to stay away from shift dresses because they usually don't complement my wider bottom and my bust area. When I put this dress on, I was amazed how the shape of the dress worked its magic and fit like a glove. The material is so airy and the tribal print is right on trend that it makes it the perfect addition to my summer wardrobe! I added some pops of neon for a fun look that is perfect for a night out!

I also submitted this outfit to the T + J Designs June Style Trend Link Up
About the Outfit: Wallis Dress c/o, H&M Necklaces (similar), Rampage Neon Shoes via DSW (similar, and I love these), Michael Kors watch, MAC "Lady Danger" Lipstick

Flowy Coral Flare

Happy Wednesday! There's not much science to this outfit other than I tossed it on as I headed out for dinner with the bf. Each component of this outfit (the flowy top, the flared jeans and the low wedge heel) is so comfortable in its own right. Being comfy was key as we walked around Liberty Station, had a beer at the new Stone Brewery and watched planes take off of Lindbergh Field from across the bay. If you are in San Diego I highly recommend checking this area out, there are so many cool restaurants and hang out areas!

Stripes and Gold Touches

Happy Monday! My-my time flies! On Sunday the bf and I went out for a fresh seafood lunch- we had ceviche... hmmm I'm craving it again as I type this. My outfit is a reflection of the iffy weathes, a balance of layering and summer items. It had been overcast most of the day with the sun making a few cameos.

I love how this outfit came together especially with the newest addition of these Shoedazzle wedges which if you follow me on Instagram you know I got at a super good deal for their Memorial Day Sale! I love me some good online sales!
