Lil Bits of Instagrams

Trying out some new goodies from Charlotte Russe

A walk down Halloween Costume Lane!

As Halloween creeps up on us I realized I don't have a costume yet! I used to know what I was going to be for halloween months in advance, usually picking a character that I love! This year it seems I've been distracted with other matters in my life so my costume will be more low-key :) BUT I do want to show you my favorite costumes over the years!

Princess Jasmine

Rockin' my Red Jeans @ Disneyland!

This Sunday my family and I visited the "happiest place on Earth" a.k.a. Disneyland!! It was my first time seeing their Halloween themed decor with pumpkins everywhere and some rides in Halloween mode. I love Disneyland because it brings out the kid in me, I get so giddy! I hope I get to go back during Christmas time which is so beautiful, they always manage to make everything look so magical!

Obsessed with Pan Am Style!

Happy Saturday! I have been wanting to make a post about my newest obsession: The show Pan Am on ABC! I love the story line, the set design, but most importantly I LOVE the fashion of that era! The show is set in 1963 where the clothes, make up and hair are simple, sophisticated and classy. I love the elegance of the 60's when women would delicately wear gloves and girdles! I love that in each episode they cover a bit of history and recreate the time in a different place in the world (my favorite was Paris and Berlin). Here are some pictures from the show and some finds on ModCloth and Forever 21 that remind me of that classic style!
How gorgeous are their dresses? Here are some of my Pan Am inspired picks! (below)

Polka Dot'n Around

Happy Tuesday! Hope you are all having a great beginning to your week. It's still hot here in San Diego, but I noticed this evening as I was walking to my car from my office, that it's cooling down (and then I started daydreaming of all my fall outfits)! I am dying to wear my boots!! Anywho, I squeezed in another outfit in the hot weather... I hope my next outfit post will be in fall wear! *crossing fingers*

Casual Leopard for a celebration!

Happy Sunday! So, if you follow me on twitter you know that it's still super hot here and I have YET to wear any of my fall clothes! The upside is that we enjoyed the weather at the city of Chula Vista's 100th birthday at the Olympic Center. I've lived down the street from this Olympic Center and I had never been inside so it was pretty awesome to see where the Olympians train.

Lil Bits of F21 (Under $20 Haul)

Happy Wednesday! It's time for another haul post! This one is dedicated to these great finds at Forever 21, all below $20!

Side note: I like to buy their stuff inside the store so I can feel the fabric. Ideally, I like fabrics that I am familiar with and that I know won't shrivel or fade with a wash.

Casual Red & Blue

Hi! This was my simple and casual outfit to go eat dinner with the boyfriend :) There's still a lot of sun in San Diego which makes me hold off on all the fall stuff I've been wanting to bust out. For now, I guess I will enjoy the tank tops and different types of sunglasses. I love the shape and the color of these sunglasses!

Making use of Blue Pants

Happy Saturday Y'all :) Here is what I wore for the Local Custo Barcelona and Betsey Johnson fashion shows that I had posted about previously.

When I bought these blue pants I thought they were going to be a Spring/ Summer trend but thank goodness they are still in because that means I can keep on wearing them! I updated the outfit with the python print pumps that I have had for YEARS. I love when things come back in style!

Local Betsey Johnson Fashion Show

Happy... whatever day it is! All I know it's that we're closer to Friday! (yipee). This is the continuance of the fashion show I  attended last Friday night. The Custo Barcelona outfits were modeled first, then it shifted to a mini Betsey Johnson fashion show promoting our local Betsey Johnson shop in Fashion Valley Mall.

Betsey Johnson is all about fun with an edge. I LOVE her signature princess dresses, the poofier the better!

The first one is my favorite..

Custo Barcelona Mini Fashion Show

Happy Wednesday! Last Friday I attended a Fashion Show at Syrah Wine Parlor, a local spot that I LOVE here in San Diego. Syrah is a trendy Alice and Wonderland themed bar that became the back-drop to a mini Custo Barcelona and Betsey Johnson fashion show. After hosted champagne hour and a Custo Barcelona gift bag (which included their Fall/Winter 2011-12 lookbook & 3-D glasses) the models came out. The outfits were bright and colorful with a variety of patterns and eccentric leggings. Here are my favorite Custo Barcelona outfits of the night!

Casual Vegas

Happy Monday everyone! I hope that you are having a good start to your week. These pictures were from my last day in Vegas. We walked around the Caesar's Forum, where they have the most amazing stores from highest end to the cost-efficient. I had to hit up my favorite H&M (3 stories & a DJ!), and also took some pics of breath-taking things (like those Fendi, leopard shoes! and the Christian Louboutin sign).

At the end of the night, I walked over to the Bellagio and waited for the famous fountain show. I have been to Vegas several times and have seen them but never this close up. I hope you enjoy my pictures :)

LBD Potpourri

Happy Weekend! Today's post is dedicated to Nany's Klozet and Flor de Maria Fashion's weekly challenge "Show us your LBD Style". A large section of my closet are LBD's but a lot of them I wore pre-blogging days, so it was cool to look back at some at my old pictures (please excuse the quality) and gather some of my LBD moments!! :)

I LOVE LBD's because you can wear them so many different ways by:

  • Accessorizing the dress differently especially a different statement necklace!
  • Pairing it up with a different hairstyle
  • Pairing it up with different make up, like a different bold lip color
  • Pairing it up with different shoes, purse
  • Adding a blazer, cover up, sweater
