Upcoming Event and Mother’s Day Gift Guide with Kendra Scott UTC

It feels surreal to say that my FIRST Mother’s Day is almost here and to celebrate I will be hosting an event at Kendra Scott in Westfied UTC on Thursday May 3rd from 6-8pm! If you’re in San Diego, full details at the end of this post.

This time last year I was in the thick of the first trimester of my pregnancy, not knowing what the future held for this blog as I was struggling physically and taking on a new role at work. It took maternity leave, when I wanted to feel productive during the many baby naps and “me time” to realize that blogging is therapeutic for me amidst the craziness that is motherhood! Now Baby Oscar Julian is now 5 months and I’ve somehow managed to be consistent with blogging and networking!

During one of the blogger networking events, I connected with the ladies of Kendra Scott in Westfield UTC, the newest Kendra Scott store in San Diego. When they asked me if I would like to host an event I said “YES!” because it is such an organic partnership since I wear my Kendra Scott pieces all… the… time! It feels like a full circle moment to team up with them to celebrate my very first Mother’s Day especially since I was wearing Kendra Scott during my pregnancy.

I was recently watching CBS This Morning (as I do every weekday to see what’s going on in the world) and I got so excited to see Gayle King do a segment on Kendra Scott and her now billion dollar business. I learned that she was pregnant when she made her first collection in her home, she even took her son in her carrier and went store to store in Austin, Texas pitching herself. At one point she was a single mom of two building this empire- now that is #MomGoals! Fast forward to today she has opened Kendra Scott stores all over the nation including the one I’m hosting the event in next week! I had already been a big fan of her jewelry, her brand aesthetic and their philanthropic efforts but it was during this interview that I felt a real sense of connection to the brand… as a mom.

So what’s in store at this event? Well, for one I shall be there!
