As I mentioned in my previous post, August 28th was our 1 year wedding anniversary, so in honor of that we went for a nice brunch at Mister A's AND back to where we had our first date the Hilton Bayfront's Fox Sports Grill for a drink. We wanted to keep it totally chill because we both had to work come Monday but I think it came out perfect! I wanted to wear something a lil casual and a lil dressed up for the occasion.

In other news, post-wedding I had major wedding planning burnout! After a year of planning every detail, the night of the wedding was a celebration of our marriage and the fact that I didn't have to plan a wedding anymore! WOO HOO! I realized that I have yet to share the details on this blog, so I finally began the daunting task of sifting through the 3,500 pictures of the big day, so that I can bring you my bridal shower, #pauchelorette, and the wedding blog posts!
For now, in honor of our 1 year anniversary, I wanted to share this beautiful highlight video of our wedding day put together by our amazing videographer Sutography. If you are looking for a videographer in the San Diego area, I highly recommend Sutography. They not only directed us well to get great shots, but also put together an amazing wedding DVD (in bluray) that I have watched 5 times already (and cried all 5 times)!

☮ & ♥,
I am a firm believer in being grateful, from the lows to the highs, it's important for me to thank you all for supporting my passion. I have been experiencing a lot of successes in the blog arena this Summer - from being in the Latina Magazine October issue (more on that to come), to being cabi's correspondent/blogger in Boston at #cabiScoop, to July being my highest monthly view count in my 5 years of blogging! I feel very fortunate but overall thankful because of everyone who takes time out of their day to support my blog or social media in any way. That is why, I decided to buy this purse to giveaway as a thank you!
Happy Monday friends! When I first got this gorgeous dress from Chicwish it reminded me of a Mexican riviera vacation outfit with a chic spin. Since I have no Mexican vacation in sight (womp womp) I did the next best thing and wore it for a casual day in this heat paired with black wedges. I love the colorful embroidery details and the flowy sleeves!

The Neiman Marcus Trend Report at Fashion Valley tends to be one of my favorite fashionable events here in San Diego as local fashion bloggers and stylists alike come out to brunch with a side of the upcoming season's trends. The tablescape is always on point and this time the berry hues in our food and flowers were an indication of what was to come.
Women’s suits don’t need to be reserved just for the office, with a color or print change you can rock the suit in a chic way during those “off duty” hours. This suit screams fall with its rich burgundy hue (keep in mind that you can restyle each piece into other outfits). The fit is just as important, I like that the blazer and trousers are fitted and the material is comfortable! I added a simple choker to give the outfit a younger touch (but between you and I it was making me feel claustrophobic lol).
As much as I love acquiring new pieces for my wardrobe, I love restyling existing pieces to both exercise my creativity and save money *wink, wink* A good tip is to wear a dress as a shirt, obviously if the fit and length permit. For example, this dress that I previously wore here, because it is loose and short it made it easy to tuck in to the jeans in the front.

Happy Monday! Today I bring you the combination of two trends I love: suits and windowpane. I'm not one to shy away from the windowpane print/pattern (as you can see here), so when I saw this number stroll down the cabi Fall 2016 runway and promo materials, I was like "I need to have this!" The look has a mod feel to it which is why I paired it with a fun pink background (courtesy of Pigment in North Park, San Diego = a fashion blogger's dream).
Let me be 100% honest, I put this outfit together without much thought and I love how it looks! It's totally casual, yet a lil stylish with a pop of color. I'm wearing my new "dusk destructed skinny jeans" from cabi (previously worn here) that I mentioned are beyond comfortable! They are body hugging without making me feel constricted.
It was another scorching hot weekend here in San Diego and I'm literally wearing all of my dresses out! This weekend I had multiple events per day and as I was changing for each one I noticed that comfy dresses were the way to go to look cute and stay cool. I may be all about the little black dress, little white dress, but it was good to freshen up the rotation with this little denim dress from Chicwish. I love the embroidery detail with the tasseled strings for a resort-ish feel. What do you find yourself wearing most this Summer?
