I have been seeing the beautiful blush and gold combination in wedding decor (as I pin ideas like crazy for our wedding) and it inspired me to create an outfit in the beautiful combination. A little blush dress, not only makes me feel like a ballerina, but its softness makes me feel whimsical. After pairing these gold shoes with so many other outfits, I have discovered that adding gold accessories to an outfit gives it a touch of elegance. This is a perfect outfit to wear to a wedding, a bridal shower or even a baby shower!
San Diego Style Bloggers has grown so much over the last year and that was very evident at our last meet up at C. Wonder Fashion Valley a few weeks back. C. Wonder Fashion Valley reached out to host us and we happily said "of course!" The store oozes with adorable, cute and colorful items- see what I ended up purchasing below!
I wasn't joking when I said I love dining with a view in this beautiful San Diego Spring weather! On this day, a couple of girlfriends and I did a catch up session at one of my favorite views in San Diego, George's at the Cove. It overlooks the ocean, you can see the kayakers and seals and enjoy a delicious mango mojito!
I wanted to keep it simple and you can't get simpler with a white top and jeans, but lately since I have been resorting to flats, I decided to bring out the blue sandaled heel shoes (last seen here)! Style tip: You can always pair some statement shoes with white top and jeans!

I'm excited to announce that the family I had written about here has won the Healthy Essentials’ LA FAMILIA DE HOY™ for 2014! Back in December, I had chosen and written about the Jimenez family because I connected to them the most out of all of the contestants. I related mainly on their family togetherness (how the brothers and sisters live next to each other) and their entrepreneurial spirit in achieving the American dream. Back then I had stated that to me a "Familia de Hoy" is a family that evolves together. Nowadays, it's so easy to be torn apart by distance, problems, disagreements but a “Familia de Hoy” does everything to stay together and help each other out both emotionally and financially.
Fast forward to now, 2014 has not been the kindest year to my family, but it’s so comforting to know that when someone in our family is suffering or struggling, we do an “all hands on deck” support system. It has only made us stronger and makes us appreciate each other that much more.
Family is dependable just like some of my favorite Healthy Essentials brands, and one of my go-to’s: Neosporin Original Ointment. You can ask anyone in my family, there is always Neosporin in my medicine cabinet! It’s not only because it minimizes the appearance of scars, but primarily because of the 24 hour infection protection. You know when you’re breaking in those super cute shoes, but they cut the back of your foot? Well, that’s when I put on some Neosporin so it could heal and I could give those shoes another spin *lol*
Sunny San Diego weather calls for lunch with a view, but on this day the fiance and I were also craving fish tacos, so we found the happy medium at the Fish Market Restaurant that sits right on the bay. After satisfying our craving (and having a couple cocktails hee hee) we walked around the area that holds a lot of tourist attractions like the USS Midway Museum, the Sweet Surrender statue and Seaport Village, to name a few- a great area of recommendation if any of you visit San Diego!
Lately I have been reaching for my Tory Burch flats for both comfort and look, which leaves me getting creative on changing the rest of the outfit. I was excited that the weather allowed me to bring out one of my Spring/Summer faves- this little white eyelet dress!
Get ready to see a print and color filled post brought to you by my visit to the "Journey of a Dress" Diane Von Furstenberg exhibit located in the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
This exhibit celebrates the 40th anniversary of Diane Von Furstenberg’s brand and the dress that started it all- the iconic wrap dress. Its prints and colors are boldly reflected on the walls (which to a fashion blogger like me is picture heaven) while 200 mannequins wearing DVF dresses stand beautifully everywhere you look! It was hard to take it all in, so I snapped these few pics to capture my favorite areas.

The beauty of Spring has arrived and for me it's not only about transitioning my clothes, but also transitioning my make up. Spring is the epitome of brighter colors, florals, pastels and being outdoors which brings me to one of my favorite things to do starting this season- brunching/lunching outside. Today I bring you a Spring inspired make up perfect for brunch/lunch while enjoying the beautiful Spring weather.
While the views in San Diego are impeccable, I have to remind myself to protect my skin from the sun and it is only fitting that my makeup have SPF built in. This Neutrogena Nourishing Long Wear Liquid Makeup is not only SPF 20, it is also long-lasting and lightweight.
I also change my usual cat eye by making it thinner and sharper for a more natural look. I gently add Crease Proof Eye Shadow very lightly to give my eyelids a little shine topped with Healthy Volume Mascara to enhance my naturally short eyelashes.
LuckyFabb West 2014 was my third LuckyFabb which started feeling like Cheers- where everybody knows your name! I love that I bump into the LuckyFabb regulars like my girl Miki from Canada, the most stylish man at LuckyFabb Javone, and my beloved Daisy with who I roomed with (along with Dainty Jea), only to name a few. For me, getting to meet and see style bloggers from all over the world makes the conference.
Baby blue has really caught my attention this season and when I saw this beautiful pair from ShoeDazzle, I knew they would really satisfy my blue pastel craving! I also thought these would be perfect for the warm day in Los Angeles that accompanied the LuckyFabb Day 2 Networking brunch! Coincidentally, I found these complementary pieces in my closet (you may recall the dress here) which makes me proud that I didn't run to the store and buy something new *pat-on-the-back*
I'm back from a whirlwind 2 days in Beverly Hills for LuckyFabb with so much to share, but first... the outfit! My suitcase for LuckyFabb East was filled with leather, dark colors and prints while my LuckyFabb West suitcase was the complete opposite! Pastels and neons cheerfully filled my bag.
For day 1 I wore a bold neon pink dress from ASOS and although the neon was unexpected (because it didn't look like that on the site), I was happy with the color. After seeing Jennifer Lopez wearing a gorgeous hot pink set paired with nude Louboutins, I was inspired to take this dress in that direction. The nude and clear accessories allow for the dress to be the star and best of all the dress was super comfortable to sit in for the all day conference. My LuckyFabb breakdown will be up soon, so stay tuned!

When I was growing up in the *cough* 80's, there was no internet, no YouTube tutorials or other electronic methods to consult with when I had beauty questions other than my most loved resource of all- my beautiful mom (who learned her beauty tips from her mom).
As I mentioned in my last post, I was invited to a wonderful bridal brunch at the US Grant Hotel in downtown San Diego charmingly named "Something Borrowed". Since I just got engaged, I must admit that I'm really enjoying this stress-free part of the wedding planning journey, you know the part where you haven't even started? Yup, that's me. Honestly I don't know where to begin, so I was thankful to attend this event filled with ideas at every corner sending my sister and I's mind into overdrive!
The first part of the brunch was a walk-through of what a ceremony would look like into a staged reception with music, drinks and food. I loved the ambiance- it was young, sexy and elegant.
