Bye 2014, Countdown to 2015

Another year coming to a close and it's bittersweet because 2014 brought so many big changes in my life, two of them being huge life changes, getting asked for my hand in marriage and then buying our starter home together. I know that typically as fashion bloggers we can choose to put a wall and keep it all fashion, but I like sharing my life beyond the outfits because I'm sure someone out there can relate and in essence, that makes me feel better connected with you all.

NYE Glam Look

If you are celebrating the good bye of 2014 and welcoming 2015 in glamour, today I bring you an outfit idea featuring one of my favorite dresses from Nicole Miller. Nicole Miller fit a woman's body like a glove and I love that this one has ruching in the mid section to forgive those Christmas lbs (for us Mexicans it's the tamale lbs! I had like a gazillion of those)

Sleeves on any of your NYE dresses or nights out this winter will allow you to refrain from wearing a coat by keeping you warm and hence not dealing with a coat check. Then there is the design, this one I chose from Nicole Miller has a gold foil print that makes it unique and not an average LBD. Matched with a pop or red lips and you are set to dance the night away and countdown to 2015!

Pink Iridescence

This coat has definitely brought my pink obsession to the forefront as I continue to wear it almost every other day! For most cases I wear it with jeans (like I did here), but today I wanted to wear it dressed up paired with this iridescent dress from River Island that I have been saving for this season (since I bought it during their Summer Sale). I love iridescent pieces because they shimmer in different colors depending on the angle and since this piece shimmers in pink, gold and silver, it was the perfect piece to pair with the coat especially during this Holiday season, speaking of which, this dress is so forgiving! Instead of going with black heels, I paired it with nude to keep the outfit completely light in color. This is also perfect for NYE if you want to stand out in a room full of black dresses :) but don't get me wrong, I will be back with a black outfit NYE option!
