Maxi and Gladiators

Happy Thursday Friends! You might recognize that hallway from a couple of my previous posts and yes it's from my Vegas trip a few weeks back, but I figured before Summer slips through my hands, I needed to share this comfortable and perfect-for-walking-around-in-hot-weather combo. Maxi dresses are essential to staying cool in the heat and any time it has slits I automatically pair it with gladiator sandals. I just love how the gladiator belts peek through!

I promise to be back with some exciting posts, but in the meantime don't forget to enter my current Cute Stuff giveaway (retail value $100+) here!

Corner Office Dress

One of my stylist picks from DownEast Basics is appropriately named the "Corner Office Dress" - Move over pant suit, there's a new #girlboss uniform in town! It's also not your typical all black or dark grey office dress, it is patterned in flattering stripes and the material is exceptional. This dress is also meant to go beyond the office walls, for a stylish outfit especially when paired with a pop of color or gold heels like these Shoe Dazzle beauties!

Work Hard, Look Chic

I’m so excited to be DownEast Basics August Stylist! Seeing as my biggest inspiration is the contemporary woman who works hard and wants to look chic doing it, I quickly perused the Downeast Basics site to make my stylist picks revolving around my inspiration only to realize that most of their site is right up that (and my) alley. They offer so many cute, versatile and high quality pieces that can easily be worn from the office to a fun event without compromising a sense of fashion. What’s even better is that they are all offered at a great price point!

#NeutrogenaSelfie- Tips & GIVEAWAY!

When you are active on social media you know how important it is to take a good #selfie and for me, it has been a learning experience. Today I wanted to share some selfie tips I have learned along the way!Selfie, how to take a good selfie, #neutrogenaselfie, Neutrogena products, good skin care regimen
Yes, there may be apps to “smooth”, whiten and photoshop your skin, but the best selfies are those that look realistic (vs. the ones that due to smoothing apps look like oil paintings). The better your skin looks, the less artificial smoothing you will need and the basis of a flawless complexion is a good skin care regimen.

Tip 1. Follow a good daily skin care regimen, such as the Neutrogena® Oil-Free Pink Grapefruit Line that not only cleans and revitalizes your skin, but it also delivers a refreshing blast of 100% naturally derived grapefruit extract. Products like the Neutrogena® Oil-Free Cleansing Wipes Pink Grapefruit for Acne-Prone Skin, Neutrogena® Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser, and Neutrogena® Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub are all gentle enough to use on a daily basis and prevent those breakouts that we don't want to show in our selfies. Products like these allow me to showcase my true selfie and my olive Latina skin!

Stay Classy Vegas

Vegas dresses are notorious for being sparkly, short, tight or all of the above, but for this night I opted on a more demure dress to have drinks at The Chandelier Bar and gamble at the Cosmo Hotel.

Vegas Glam

Every time I come back from Vegas the lyrics "back to life, back to reality" resoundingly play in my head *womp, womp* Yes, ladies and gents I'm back from an adventurous party-filled weekend in Vegas (that you may have seen unfold on my instagram) and this week I will be sharing a couple of night time outfits that I wore to party like I was in my 20's!

Mellow Yellow

Happy Friday!! As you read this (God willing) I'll be in Vegas partaking in some shenanigans, but first.... an outfit post that is so the opposite of Vegas, but I digress… I've been trying to squeeze (pun intended) more use out of these lemon printed Kate Spade shoes and the opportunity arose when I was going to run some errands and then get my Drybar blowout. Coincidentally, this Tommy Hilfiger sweater matched the shoes perfectly and when paired with jeans seemed like a comfortable and girly casual combination to be on the go.

The Drybar Experience

Over the weekend I was invited to try Drybar in San Diego, which for me couldn't have come at a better time as I continue to struggle to get volume in my hair with this humidity!

Dot Crop + Midi

A couple of months ago, a crop top and a midi skirt were a frightening combo for me. For one, my midi skirt was already tight and just the thought of showing skin made me self conscious. I ended up wearing my midi as demure and cute as possible (as seen here and here) with every intention of steering clear of a crop top. Then this crop top stared at me during my a F21 sales binge and for $5 I figured I'll keep it in my closet until I was ready and if it went out of style, it wouldn't be that big of a loss.

Good Bye July!

Happy Friday! It's hard to believe we are more than halfway through the year and this girl (pointing at myself) has still not achieved a good balance of work-blog-life, hence the lack of recent posts.

It's been getting really intense in all of the important aspects of my life- career, fitness, blog, family, wedding, which at times has me overwhelmed, but thankful for these many opportunities and new chapters in my life. I'm so taking this weekend to get centered, refreshed (if possible) and not opening my work laptop (which is usually the end of me). What do you do to "refresh"? I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
