Celebrating San Diego Style Bloggers

It's been about over a year that fellow blogger Rachel and I met up for coffee at a fashionable event in Little Italy. After hitting it off and always talking about how we wished there was a blogging community in San Diego, we decided to just create one! Well "just creating one" is kind of an understatement because it took a lot of hustling and networking to get it off the the ground.

Fast forward to last week at our 1 year Blogiversary celebration meet up at Shimmeras I looked around and I was surrounded by so many talented bloggers- some of them who I call friends! It made me realize how far we have come and that all that work was well worth it. The night  was so much fun and we were totally in our blogger element (taking pictures, instagramming, recording, etc.) For the event I just wanted to wear something colorful and fun! Check our the full recap & more event pics on San Diego Style Bloggers.

Girls Night Out with Sassy City Chicks

Last Thursday night, fellow bloggers and fashionistas Lisa, Cara-Mia, CindyCorinne and I hit the town for Girls Night Out. We started our night with happy hour at the new hot spot Bang Bang (where I ate the "Ryan Gosling" roll- yum!) and then walked on over to the beautiful Andaz rooftop for the official Sassy City Chicks party.

Fall Skincare and Color Favorites #NTGbeautifulinsideout

We are approaching the change of seasons from the Summer brights to the Fall earth and jewel tones, but as excited as I am fashionwise, I'm also excited beautywise. Today I'm happy to be part of a compensated #NTGbeatifulinsideout campaign in collaboration with Latina Bloggers Connect and Neutrogena, sharing my favorite fall and make up color trends.

First off, it is important to have a radiant skin as the canvas for the wonderful fall color make up choices. Here are some goodies that Neutrogena sent me which I'm pretty much already familiar with since I use their facial cleansers avidly. I mixed the products with my favorite Fall accessories, lots of decadent pieces in gold, sparkle and peacock feathers- most of which you have seen incorporated into my outfits.

Grid-dy Denim

Admittedly, I have a love-hate relationship with jeans because of my "rump" and also because I tend to be a *cough* yo-yo dieter, but this Rose Royce pair fit like a glove and embraced my booty! I liked the cute little touches of sparkle the jeans have for that glam-feel, so I added some metallic accessories to match. I paired it up with this bold grid blouse (last seen here) that I absolutely love, and after seeing Giuliana Rancic wearing a bold grid dress on E! News, it confirmed my belief that yes, grid is still in!

This outfit is part of Rose Royce's Fashion Blogger Ambassador Competition where the winner will be sent to LuckyFabb NYC! I would greatly appreciate if you vote for me here (you can vote once every hour).

Sandal Ballerina

Let's not forget it's still Summer!! The weather was amazing yesterday, and I'm not going to lie *whispering* the bf and I were a little hungover from a pretty awesome Saturday, so we headed over to Casa Adams for a big Mexican breakfast. I wore this super comfy (and expandable) maxi dress and these gladiator sandals that go up to the calf to embrace the Sunday Funday!

Little Black Lace Dress in Fall

Fall is just around the corner and transitional pieces, like this black lace dress, are key for a budget-friendly fashionista like me. I previously showed you how I styled this dress for Summer with a bold statement necklace and white accessories and today I bring you my fall version.

It's easy to transition pieces with layering, but it's especially easy when those layering pieces are in earth tones or leather textures. I also added booties which gives a dress an instant fall touch. I kept my lipstick neutral for a more casual look.

Fall Fashion Blogger Brunch

The U.S. Grant HotelNeiman Marcus Fashion Valley and J Public Relations teamed up to host a delicious waffle brunch for some of us San Diego Style Bloggers in their gorgeous Grant Grill. We were treated to the delicious waffle concoctions that the Grant Grill has every Sunday- I'm talking Kit Kat & Hershey Chocolate, Apricot & Goat Cheese, to name a few and I haven't event gotten to the toppings!! Nutella Cream among the 20-25 topping selections, need I say more?

Brunch'n in Green

Happy Monday! Yesterday I attended a very chic fashion blogger brunch at the gorgeous (and historic) U.S. Grant Hotel located in the heart of downtown San Diego. We were treated to delicious waffles and fashion! I can't wait to give you all the details of the event on my next blog post, but today I wanted to focus on the outfit! The outfit went perfectly with the gorgeous decor inside the U.S. Grant lobby.

I am ecstatic to be chosen for Marshalls' #ProjectFab because it's one of my go-to stores for brand name clothes on my working girl budget! They gave us finalists a $100 gift card (which has a lot of buying power at Marshalls) and one of the pieces I picked up was this fit-and-flare dress by Cynthia Rowley in a gorgeous shade of green that screamed brunch to me from the rack. To keep it Summery, I paired it with a crisp white blazer, but I can also see myself wearing this dress in Fall with some leopard pumps!

Little Black Lace Dress in Summer

We are reaching the end of Summer (bummer!) and the Fall colors have flooded the insides of stores, but despite the limbo in seasons a little black lace dress works in both! To show you its versatility I will be transitioning this Wallis lace beauty from Summer to Fall!

Queenstown Public House

Let's talk about a great combination: Fashion and food! When Queenstown Public House asked me to come by and experience their chic decor and cuisine, I happily obliged. Queenstown is not your average Little Italy Restaurant, for one it doesn't serve Italian food, and secondly it looks like a charming house from the outside!

Tribal at the Track

The weather in San Diego was ideal to hit up the Del Mar Racetrack and bet on some horses!

Choosing a horse to bet on is a hilarious process for me: I choose horses by jockey or by horse name. My boyfriend on the other hand weighs out stats and all that jazz, but in the end you just never know how the race will turn out! We didn't win BIG, but a couple of small wins paid for our drinks which is a plus in my book! For the day, I just wanted something light and comfortable, so I tossed on this tribal print tank dress and some wedges.

July Recap

Happy August!! My July was fun, it was hectic and it was filled with amazing collaborations such as getting my eyelashes done by Blink Boutique, was a featured blogger at the Classy City Chick Clothing event "STRUT", got to party in fashion at Project Ethos, and featured Faviana, Naughty MonkeyModDeals, among others.

I have some great collaborations lined up for August as well as an event-filled schedule, which of course I will keep you all posted on! For now, enjoy this recap and let me know which one is your fave!
