Spring Business Attire

After working in the corporate world for so long, it is easy for me to fall into the usual dark color outfit routine. With my love for bright outfits during my off-time, I decided to put an effort into infusing some color into my professional attire.

The huge misconception about business attire is that it is pricey, but with the exception of a few key pieces (i.e. business suit) most of my work clothes are from budget-friendly places. Case and point: What I wore to work yesterday!

This skirt from Forever 21 passes my “appropriate for work” test because it has a hidden zipper in the back, the material is thick and since I got this skirt a size bigger it is not too short or tight. I offset the color of the skirt with a black top, blazer and simple black pumps, and kept the jewelry to a minimum (statement necklaces and “Arm Parties” usually stay at home because of all of the typing and meetings). All in all simpler is better in the work place, but a pop of color can take an office outfit from boring to cheery!

I love the use of pop of color with the skirt, business attire doesn't need to be boring. Great way to showcase that.

I agree that office wear does not have to be expensive. My husband has actually bought most of his suits from Forever 21 Men and from H&M and he gets asked all the time where he gets them. 🙂 I love that blazer and the skirt is so perfect for spring! <3toni
