Playful Windowpane Print

Last Friday, I had the pleasure of attending Lisa's SD Blogger Meet up at Vocabulary Boutique in Little Italy. It's always nice to mix and mingle with fellow bloggers who share the same passion (pictures of that below)!

Black and White is one of this season's hottest trends, but the black and white Grid or "Windowpane" pattern has become a whole trend of its own. Seen on Spring 2013 runways such as Michael Kors and Chanel, the pattern entranced me when I saw Gwen Stefani in a full head to toe MK windowpane ensemble (ah-mazing!). Not quite brave enough to do a head-to-toe look, but I have many ideas in mind for this top. For this meet up, I decided to make it a playful by pairing it with my hot pink skinnies!

Neon Jungle

Since the weather in San Diego permitted, I jumped the gun and dabbled in one of my favorite Spring trends: neon! I especially can't get enough of this neon peplum top, that I previously wore to go dancing here. I have been anxiously waiting to give these jungle print jeans another spin and today as the sun was shining I said "why not?!"

If you don't want to take the plunge on a similar combination you can always tone it down with a black pair of skinnies ;) Hope you all had a great weekend, let's make this a productive one!

How I Organize My Accessories!

Happy Friday! Because I have been pinning onto my "Organization" board like crazy, I was inspired to share how I organize my bracelets, rings, watches, stud earrings and some miscellaneous items.

It became essential to organize my accessories in a way where I could see all of the pieces and not forget what I had. I absolutely loved these bracelet organizers from The Container Store (available here). This post is similar to one I had posted in the past- how to use household items to organize your accessories (you can see it here!)

Black and White: Florals

Oh floral jeans, how I love thee, especially in black and white because it opens up the possibilities! Yes, you have seen these worn before both here and here, but this time I stuck with the black and white color scheme and just added the good ol' pop of color via this teal Rebecca Minkoff M.A.C. purse.

It was such a comfortable outfit because the blazer is lightweight with breathable fabric and the Lulu's loafers were perfect to run around. I wore this for a mani date with Lisa  where we sampled Wax and the City's services for San Diego Style Bloggers. Read our review and see all of the fun pictures here!

Prabal Gurung for Target Brights

If you follow me on Instagram, you already know I went a little nuts when the Prabal Gurung for Target collection went on sale. I had seen all the pieces online and noted which ones I wanted so when I got to Target I launched myself at them, which was actually not necessary because there wasn't that many people there! Nevertheless, I loved the collection and his emphasis on bright colors, bold mirrored patterns and lucite accessories. You can see all my purchases on my Instagram (@lilbitsofpau)!

As the degrees here in San Diego hit the high 70's yesterday, it became the perfect opportunity to wear my newest purchases including my favorite: the black caged heels. The boyfriend and I had lunch at Georges at the Cove with a beautiful view of our ocean which is always a great reminder of how great this city is and that I need to stop taking it for granted!

Valentine's Day Giveaway ft. Flechada

Since Valentine's Day is the holiday of love and friendship, I want to celebrate you, my blogosphere friends, with a giveaway!!

I'm teaming up with Flechada, a Latin American designer based shopping platform that offers eco-friendly, sustainable or handmade pieces, to giveaway a beautiful handcrafted "Heart of Passion"bracelet by Mercedes Salazar from Colombia.

I love handmade accessories, especially those with a message and this one has an engraved message that is fitting for Valentine's Day: "Quiero adoración, pasión, arrebato, amor, entusiasmo, frenesí, impulse". Translation: "I want love, adoration, passion, enthusiasm, frenzy." Oh-la-la! I'm wearing mine for Valentine's Day dinner, stay tuned for the full outfit pictures, but for now see how you can win this below!

Neon Night Out

This past weekend we celebrated my cousin's birthday with a neon-themed dance-a-thon at Fluxx Nightclub in Downtown San Diego. I hadn't gone out to "da club" in a long time, so I brushed up on my club-make up skills and headed downtown! It was a ton of fun dancing with my family and close friends... goodness gracious I missed dancing! Make sure to check out my Instagrams of that night (here) and also my vine videos (@lilbitsofpau)!

Hunter Green and Leopard Casual

Happy Friday! Oh, how I wish I was at New York Fashion Week (minus the blizzard)!*sigh*

Back to reality....On Sunday, fellow style blogger Lisa from Mona Lisa Marie and I went for a nice brunch at Brooklyn Girl in Mission Hills to discuss ideas for her upcoming meet up and San Diego Style Bloggers. The food and grapefruit "my-mosa" was delish and the interior design is so chic (with a wall of barbies in LBD's!).

I wore something easy and breezy courtesy of this loose tunic that my cousin gave me for Christmas. Lately I've been on a leopard accent kick because I feel it's the perfect touch to make an outfit more special. Paired with some comfy loafers and voilà I was ready to tackle the day!

January Outfit Recap

My-my how time flies! January has come and gone! I must admit, I didn't take as many outfit pictures as I would have liked, but I'm optimistic I'll take many more this month. San Diego weather was all over the place, it was cold (by our definition in the 50's), then raining and then back to 70's?*scratching my head*

On a personal note, January was also my birthday month and I started thinking a lot about my life.  I'm still figuring things out, but I know that I'm striving to improve my time management, trying to focus on my health/fitness and also trying to bring a lot of the ideas (that I usually get while sitting in traffic in my head) to life.

From looking at my calendar, February appears to be a fun month with a lot of birthday festivities and Valentine's Day! Stay tuned for all of those outfits to come, but for now hope you enjoyed my January outfits, here is a quick review!

Soft Pink Baby Shower or Valentine?

Happy Monday! This weekend was my good friends' baby shower and since her bun in the oven is a girl, I wanted to wear a share of pink. Once I put my outfit together, it coincidentally felt like a Valentine's Outfit as well, so I felt like it would knock two birds with one fashionable stone since we are doing a Valentine's Day link up party at San Diego Style Bloggers (here)! I capped it off with gold touches for an added pizzazz.

Bring on the Mint!

I'm starting to see mint trickling back into the stores and it made me realize: 1) how fast time flies (it was only like yesterday I was sharing with you 5 ways to wear mint jeans) and 2) Fashion in cyclical! That's why I always hesitate when getting rid of things from my closet and my main excuse for my borderline clothes-hoarder status. I usually keep my pastels and florals because I know I'll use it in Spring time.

Just when I thought I couldn't find the 6th way to wear mint jeans, this combo came to mind and it's such a comfy yet fashionable way to run errands when paired with flats. You can also add a nude heel to change it up! Have a great weekend!
