Peplum Dress

Happy Monday Memorial Day! Hope you all enjoyed your weekend! This weekend I went to Tijuana for a baptism. I had such a great time listening to banda and enjoying the company of family. I love this peplum dress from H&M, aside from being at a great price point the material is thick (which is important for white pieces), stretchy and comfortable. Here are some pics of the event :)

5 Ways Fridays: Florals

Happy Friday!! I got such great feedback on my last "5 Ways Fridays: Mint Jeans"that I decided to keep it going! "5 Ways Fridays" is where I show you how I wore an item or trend in 5 different ways and today it's a recurring spring trend, florals! Floral patterns are popular during spring as the real flowers outside are blooming, but this season the floral pattern exploded on to shoes, jeans, scarves and anything you can think of. Here are 5 ways in which you can wear a lot to a lil bit of florals :)

Floral Sunkiss

Happy Wednesday peeps :) We are halfway to the weekend! Yesterday, I met up with fellow blogger Rachel for a drink at the Andaz Hotel Rooftop. The rooftop has amazing views of downtown San Diego and the ambiance is so relaxing! We met to discuss ideas for a future collaboration that I am so excited about and in true style blogger fashion we took pictures of our outfits. The basics of this outfit might look familiar because I wore them in the fall (here) with snake print pumps and silver accessories. I decided to add a pop of yellow, a bright nail color, a flower in my hair and these floral platform sandals to show how accessories can transform a fall outfit into spring. Hope you like it, and thanks for reading!!
About the Outfit:
Top: Forever 21
Blue Pants: Reference (local)
Floral Platforms: Rocket Dog via Macy's

5 Ways Fridays: Mint Jeans

Happy Friday!! Two of my favorite trends for spring: the color mint and colored jeans. Mint jeans is the combination of these two big trends and I can tell you for certain that it is one of my favorite pieces to wear this season. After wearing them so much, I concluded that I needed to gather all of my mint jean looks to form my first ever "5 Ways Fridays" where I show you how I wore an item in 5 different ways. Hope you like it!

My Fashion Blogger Business Cards

My blog's business cards arrived today...
Why have a business card for a blog you ask?
After attending a couple of events I was asked about 3 times for a business card. Since I didn't have one, I verbally told them about my blog and realized, they would probably NOT remember it by the time they got home!

So I curiously googled "blogger business cards" when I got home. The most helpful article of them all was this one: What to Put on a Business Card from The Blogger Business Card Showcase. For me a business card, other than for advertising purposes, is a great tool in networking with other bloggers, merchants and other people I may want to collaborate with.

I experimented with both Vista Print and U Printing and went with www.Uprinting.com because they had a user-friendly business card creator where you can see a 360 degree preview before printing. They had so many great tools that allowed me to make my business card from scratch!!

To put a picture or not? that was the question
After looking at other fashion blogger business cards, I saw that many had an outfit picture on one side because, after all, that's what we do... outfit pics. After sleeping on it, I decided to just tie in my blog's header as the focal point of the business card, because what if my outfit goes out of style when I'm handing these out?! Plus it's good to maintain uniformity from your blog, to your other networks as a way of branding.
QR reader
I thought it was a great idea to include a QR code on the card (plus it made me feel futuristic). That way anyone can scan it with their smart phone and read your blog on their phone. I used www.QRstuff.com to generate my QR code for free.

After experimenting with placement, pictures, etc my main goal was to put as much information on the card without making it look cluttered, so this is what I came up with. I hope you like it and I hope that this post is helpful to you :)

Do you have a business card for your blog??
I would love to see it and keep it my rolladex! Tweet it to me!! @lilbitsofpau

Peachy Beachy Florals

Happy Monday! It's always hard to go back to work after a weekend with great weather *womp, womp* On Saturday, we took to Pacific Beach to enjoy the sun with a lunch by the beach at JRDN. I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to expose my legs to some sun rays (as you can see they are lacking that) with these floral shorts. On Friday, as I did my weekend Target run, (Insert boyfriend rolling his eyes as we are shopping for groceries and I say, "I'll be right back" then I disappear) I had to go through the women's clearance racks because there are some gems in there. When I found these floral shorts for $8.98 I pumped my fist in the air with joy because I almost bought similar ones at F21 for $20 that morning!

Cost saving shopping tip of the day: If you are at Target, gather a little patience and go through the clearance racks!! The clothes they put on clearance are usually still in season and greatly reduced!

About the Outfit:
Coral Blazer: Charlotte Russe
Shorts: Target $9 in store ($15 here)
Wedges: DSW
Sunglasses: Aldo

Mint and Leopard

Hi Y'all!! First off, Feliz dia de las Madres to all the mothers out there! I am so blessed to have an amazing mother who instilled in me great morals, life lessons, values, patience, love, support and of course great sense of style! ha! I always go into her closet when I'm at her house to see her new purchases or see if anything that she has held on to has come back in style *cough* leather pants! Let's just say I got the shopaholic nature from her, no joke! Anywho, here is what I wore today... mint jeans with a hint of leopard. It seems to me that nowadays, leopard goes with everything, in this case even pastels! I edged it up a lil with black and gold accessories.

About the Outfit:
Mint Jeans, Black Blazer, necklace: F21
Shoes: Nine West via Macy's
Watch: Michael Kors
Ring: H&M

Sometimes I feel like posing like Frankenstein...

Palm Springs Poolside Outfits

I wanted to share my poolside outfits to conclude my Palm Springs trip *womp womp*  Two things to note: ONE, I must admit I am not as in shape as I want to be... working towards it... slowly... but not quite there so these outfits really hooked it up (especially the sheer cover up!) TWO, how awesome are these sandals? In my desperate need for flat sandals I stumbled upon these at Charlotte Russe, they had a Buy One Get One $10.50 so they came out to $17 each! Moral of the story: do not ignore a good B.O.G.O.!! I hope that you all have a great rest of your week!
