San Francisco Part 5: All Around SF Town

Hope you are having a nice Tuesday! My Memorial 3-day weekend actually turned out to be super busy and full of activities so I am feeling super drained! Nevertheless, I'm excited to blog about my last full day in San Francisco last week.

We managed to do a lot in one day, from Pier 29 to Fisherman's Wharf to Lombard Street, back to Union Square. In so much walking I somehow lost my camera bag *sadness* I didn't realize it until the end so it was not worth retracing the thousand steps. I will eventually have to buy a new one. I'm just thankful it wasn't my actual camera! My boyfriend and I had a field day snapping shots of the great weather in San Francisco! I wore my favorite blazer at the moment (which is really bright) and I mixed it with a teal/blue shirt. This combo was a first for me and was inspired by the floral flats and floral ring :) I have also added this outfit to the BDIB challenge here!

San Francisco Part 4: My friend's Wedding

I hope you are all enjoying your Memorial Day weekend! This 3-day weekend was very much needed for me because I'm still recovering and catching up from being in San Fran last weekend. Today has been my first day to just RELAX and it feels good to just chill for a minute.

Today's post is dedicated to my friend Gabi's wedding. It was intimate with each table labeled an area of San Francisco, and the food was a Mexican food buffet which was delicious! My boyfriend and I had such a great time! The best part was that our hotel was attached to the venue *score*

San Francisco Part 3: Blue Colored Jeans in Union Square

TGIF!! I was so excited to find these blue trousers at a local store in San Diego after having eye'd them on Zara.com forever! I wore them in a casual way for walking in Union Square (the shopping hub of San Francisco) but I can't wait to dress them up for a night out on the town with some pumps, a cute top and a blazer. Here are the pics of Day 2 :) We just walked up and down through Market in Union Square, I did manage to go into Zara and Mango (woo hoo!).

Obssessed with: Burberry mint colored sunnies!!

I had an OMG moment when I was looking through a magazine and spotted the Burberry ad for these Burberry sunglasses. Not only does the color scream my name but when I looked them up it showed how they "collapse" to fit into a pocket! I hate that they are so pricey but a girl can dream, right?!

San Francisco Part 2: Chinatown & Baseball

There are so many things to do in San Francisco so it was interesting to see how many things we could do each day.

Day one: We flew Virgin American (love their CHIC planes) through SFO. Took the BART system into the city which was a first for me. I'm a taxi kinda gal, seeing as I live in San Diego and our public transportation here is so limited so I drive or rarely cab it! My boyfriend on the other hand loves to explore, so while I was waiting for my luggage he was investigating how to get to the city using the BART. It sounded so easy when the lady at the airport explained it until we get to the ticket booth and we totally looked like BART rookies!! But I will give him props because once we figured it out it saved us a lot of money!

Back from San Francisco :)

I feel like I have been away for way longer!! I'm back from spending a great 4 whole days in San Francisco! I went to attend my friend's wedding (which was beautiful) and to enjoy the city. I have been there previously and it seems like every time I go I have a different experience and get a different feel from the city.

I have so many pictures I want to share but to be quite honest I've been exhausted trying to catch up with work and readjust to my routines (and clean my house!)

To start, here are the first few pictures in San Fran from the Airport to the Farmers Market at The Port of San Francisco. They had an amazing array of foods and arts & crafts :)...

Random Mobile Uploads & Packing Frenzy!!!

So I haven't had time to blog because I've been planning, packing and getting things ready to be out of town. From getting my dog's stuff together so he can stay at my dad's house while I'm gone, to getting work done so that I don't have a huge pile awaiting my return. All the prep to go on vacay!!

Tomorrow morning I'm off to San Francisco with my boyfriend REALLY early in the morn (7am). I'm super excited!!! Especially because I'm going for my friend's wedding :) & visiting my college roomie.  Hopefully I'll come back with a lot of good pictures.

I leave you with my fave recent RANDOM MOBILE UPLOADS from my iphone :) I hope you all have a great weekend!

Painting No. 5- 3 Little Birds

I had a GREAT weekend, especially because I had my friend visiting from out of town and I got to finally give her a painting inspired by and made for her.

Here is my fifth painting: The three little birds from the Bob Marley Song which she had gotten a tattoo of in honor of her dog (R.I.P. Toaster).

I can see progress in my paintings (yipee!) I'm expanding my horizons by playing around with textures.

"Rise up this mornin',
Smiled with the risin' sun,
Three little birds
Pitch by my doorstep
Singin' sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true,
Sayin', (This is my message to you-ou-ou:)

Singin': Don't worry 'bout a thing,
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right.
Singin': Don't worry (don't worry) 'bout a thing,
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right!"

Painting No 4- Majestic Chair

Hope y'all are having a great weekend!!

I just wanted to share with you my fourth painting: a hot pink majestic chair :)

Inspiration: A pink vintage chair I saw in a photograph that I drooled over for a second but then realized if I were to buy it I would really have no place for it! So why not paint it?

Keep in mind I am still practicing! But all in all I think it came out ok. I recently finished painting No 5 and I'm seeing progress which only motivates me to continue painting. I hope to move on to the bigger canvases and more intricate designs soon :)

Trendin' It: Orange

Here is one of my favorite Orange Outfits paired with the perfect San Diego weather & location (Balboa Park).

I really enjoy this specific Cotton On dress-design, because not only can you accessorize it any way you want (adding belts, earrings, cuffs, rings) but it has pockets and the material is super comfy!! I also have it in black and floral and plan to go back to buy it in Coral. They come out with new colors depending on the season, so hopefully they'll have some summery colors soon, or a pastel colored one would be nice.

Dress: Cotton On// Accessories: Forever 21// Sunglasses: H&M// Purse: Tory Burch

One Month Blog-a-versary (original post & comments deleted by blogger)

Can you believe that just one month ago I started my lil blog?? It feels like it's been way longer! It all started with my introduction and my reason for starting a blog.

I must be honest, at the beginning I didn't know where I would concentrate my efforts the most: fashion, photography, painting, interior design, fitness?? but I have come to realize that I have just let it flow to wherever my life and thoughts are. My mind is flowing with so many more ideas of what I want to paint, what I want to wear, what I want to re-do in my home and what I want to put out into the blogosphere.

I was relieved to find different creative communities of bloggers, who are like me and love to express their passions through blog posts. I'm truly inspired by other bloggers :) I'm starting to realize that I really should have started a blog YEARS ago!

Thank you for commenting and most of all for following :) I'm so happy with my 63 followers at the moment! This blog has become a newly discovered hobby and I can't wait to see where I can take it to.

Peace & Love,
Pau

Happy Mother's Day!

I want to wish all the mom's out there a Happy Mother's Day!! I celebrated my mom today in a mini-way because I'm saving the bigger celebration for Dia de las Madres (Mexican Mother's Day) on Tuesday :)

I want to share my favorite picture of my mom from when she was younger. No doubt I got my sense of style from her, as I'm sure a lot of you fashion bloggers feel inspired by your mothers' style. I still like to raid her closet from time to time ;O)

Wish I was at the Kentucky Derby!

It's Kentucky Derby weekend so we will be seeing great racetrack fashion. Some of it will be the classic derby fashion, some may be outrageous, nevertheless I couldn't help but think of my personal experiences at the racetrack here in Del Mar.

We here in San Diego get to sport our luxurious hats at Opening Day in the Del Mar Racetrack. After reminiscing, I started to think what hat should I wear this year? The Royal Wedding has inspired me to wear a cute fascinator! I have until July 10th to decide, so for now I leave you with my Opening Day at the races outfits from the last four years....

Let the Pool Parties begin!

Yesterday was the kickoff of the "pool parties" at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego a.k.a. Intervention.  I say "pool party" in quotations because although there is a tiny pool no one really goes in it or focuses too much on it. It really is about the music, being in summer clothes (i.e. bikinis), dancing in the sun and good times. The weather was perfect, sun was shining and the vibe was great...
