Black & White Stripes in Vegas

Happy Friday! First off, thank you to everyone who read, checked out and commented on my last blog post :) I was so obsessed with that dress that I am convinced to go back and get it in dark orange too! I forgot to mention that the dress was $14.95 at H&M! Amazing.

This outfit was from day 2 in Vegas. It was still hot out like if it was summer! We stayed at Planet Hollywood and walked over to the neighboring Paris Casino for a lovely breakfast at Mon Ami Gabi. I've never been to Paris, so I had to get a little Paris fix with french toast and crepes.

About the Outfit: Dress worn as skirt: Forever 21// Collared Shirt: Marshalls// belt: H&M// Flats: borrowed :)// Purse: Tory Burch (worn as a clutch previously)// Earrings: Gift

Python in Vegas

Happy Wednesday!! So I'm back from a relaxing weekend in Vegas! This time I went to celebrate my mom's birthday. We wined, dined and then mom proceeded to gamble while I tanned and ate some more! I was in need of a trip to unwind after such an overwhelming week at work. I came back with a new-found motivation to work out because I ate way too much!

Anywho, hope you enjoy these pics from the first night out. We took my mom to Sugar Factory for dinner, then my sister and I went to Chateau and walked around the Cosmo. This is my first time in a long time rockin' the dark red lipstick and nail polish!

I'm currently obsessed with snake/python print so I was happy to hear it was the latest "Bloggers Do It Better" Challenge!

About the Outfit: Dress, necklace: H&M (from previous haul)// Shoes: Target// Purse: Tory Burch
I wish I had a better picture of my eyeshadow, but this was my first time using the NAKED palette!! loved it!

Lil Bits of Shopping (Haul)

Happy Saturday! When I first started blogging I had no idea that there was such a concept as showing your purchases, also known as a "haul", I didn't even know that it was called a "haul"! Now that I know, I figured I would do my first official "haul" and show you some things I picked up this week :)

I'm very budget conscious (trust me, it took me a while to get to this mental state) so I tend to shop in pieces. There's a mall down the street from my work place so I tend to go during lunch to get my mind off of work, take a break, get some sun and of course to check out what's on sale, the newest trends or even get ideas for how to use some things in my closet.

Last Sunday I went to Sephora to get my make up done (see last post) and they required a minimum $50 purchase. I immediately thought of the NAKED palette ($48) that the youtube gurus and beauty bloggers have raved about. I'm so excited to use it in Vegas this weekend...

So I was browsing Charlotte Russe and I found this in their SALE pile, I got this for $5, very similar to the Sally Henson ones that sell for $8-$10.

Then a couple days later I went back to Charlotte Russe and they were $3 each so I stocked up on a few:
While I was browsing another mall over the weekend I came across an accessory store called M's Clothing. They had 3 racks of $1 accessory. Obviously most of it looked like cheapies BUT I found some great pieces that are a big bang for the one buck.
Elephant earrings (I thought these were cute)
copper and silver spiky bangles.

can't have enough hoops!
chain earrings
houndstooth ring and turtle ring
Of course I had to go into H&M!
Python Print dress!!

I can check this off my wishlist!

So the day finally came, my good friend's wedding!! It was lovely, simple, fun and true to my friends' personalities. I think that's one important thing about a wedding, to not lose the couples' characters in all of the madness. I had the honor to be a bridesmaid and I loved the dress the bride selected for us. The color is timeless: navy blue, and shoes to match. The pop of color came courtesy of the hot pink bouquet.

About the Outfit:Dress: David's Bridal// Shoes: DSW// Accessories: Cookie Lee// Make up: Sephora

Tip of the day: If time permits get your make up done at a make up counter, I got my make up done at Sephora which required a $50 minimum purchase. It worked out because I finally got Urban Decay's NAKED palette which I've been wanting forever!! MAC also has a $50 minimum, the upside of Sephora is they have a huge selection & variety!

The Gorgeous Bride!
Close up of my make up :)

The great view of San Diego
